A place not easily found, The Vines of Mendoza is even harder to leave. This is our story – where legacy is born out of chance encounters set in a natural oasis at the base of the majestic, rugged Andes.
A local winemaker, Pablo Gimenez Riili, meets American entrepreneur Michael Evans, vacationing in the Uco Valley. Michael quickly established a deep love for the stunning beauty of the region, the warmth of its people, its food and its extraordinary wine. Friendship grows here just as easily as the vines. Michael’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for great wine experiences, and Pablo’s natural warmth and expertise as a winemaker led to a shared vision of a special place in the valley that could be home to countless uncommon adventures.
Pablo and Michael saw the promise of the natural oasis, with 300 days of sun to shine on flourishing vineyards in the arms of the majestic and rugged Andes. The Vines of Mendoza were planted, and Pablo and Michael began to cultivate both the land and their vision for The Vines.
The Vines of Mendoza creates extraordinary Argentine wine experiences in our Tasting Room in the Uco Valley, The Vines Resort & Spa, Siete Fuegos Asado and in our Private Vineyard Estates.
Our Private Vineyard Estates turn wine lovers into winemakers -- giving people the opportunity to own their own vineyard, with our expert winemaking team helping every step of the way. We have 120 owners from all over the world planting their very own grapes, harvesting them, and then enjoying their wine with family and friends, and even selling commercially if they prefer.
