Now the the Harvest Season has come to a close and the weather has cooled off, Mendoza has taken on a very calm vibe. You might not feel as much hustle and bustle because there are fewer tourists, but it certainly doesn't mean there is a lack of things to do. In fact, low season is a wonderful time to experience Mendoza because you won't have as much competition for reservations.
You can still visit any winery this winter in Mendoza, but if you're looking for something a little special then take note of the following winter activities that wineries have put together especially for winter visitors.
Ruca Malén
The winery continues its regular activities year round. You can schedule a visit any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. You can visit for a standard tour and tasting or a leisurely lunch paired with 5 wines, or you can take part in an activity to make your own blend.

Norton
If you are looking for a nice change from the standard winery tour and tasting, Norton offers several activities such as “creciendo junto al vino” (Growing up with wine), where you will be able to taste wines from fermentation tanks or oak barrels. At the end of the activity you will have a special chance to visit the cellar and enjoy a bottle of wine.
Another activity offered is “Enólogo por un día” (Winemaker for a day), in which you can make your own wine and design your label, and then, a judge from the winery will choose the best wine.
If you want to explore your creative side, Norton offers cooking lessons and a “safari fotográfico” (photographic safari), in which you will tour the facilities and vineyards along with a professional photographer. This photo safari is a unique way to learn about Norton’s history, wines, and winemaking process, while also taking away some basic techniques of photography.
