Overview
The exhibit, known as La Brújula – meaning compass – will be located in a Julio le Parc Cultural Space, a multi-purpose exhibit space located 10 minutes outside of downtown Mendoza city.
The gallery is aimed at students and professionals of all ages and backgrounds, but particularly to those interested in understanding Mendoza on an industrial, environmental and historical level. The event offers exhibitions on the following areas:
- Water (irrigation, water usage and conservation, glaciers, geo-dynamic studies of Mt. Aconcagua etc.)
- Agribusiness (Use of technology in the Wine, honey and olive industries; natural enemies and plagues; wine tasting technique; global warming etc.)
- Environment (Acoustic science, traffic flow, forest fire prediction, monitoring of volcanoes, recycling, urban trees and sustainable development etc.)
- Space (Science and technology in astrophysics, planetarium exhibits etc.)
- Energy (Solar energy, transportation, nuclear energy, sustainable energy sources etc.)
- Paleontology (Mendoza geological history and 26 replicas)
- Health (Detection of chronic illness, neuroimaging, alternative healing, robotics in surgery etc.)
- Communication (Virtual reality, the digital city, educational technology etc.)
The exhibit will also feature outdoor activities for children under the age of 15, including go-cart racing, rock climbing and a skate park.
